River Rats Land Their 1st Franchise Win in DCL History.


Johnson Creek Mapaches lost the lead late in a 12-6 defeat to Maunesha River Rats on Friday. The game was tied at six with Maunesha River Rats batting in the top of the ninth when Gabriel Silva threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Maunesha River Rats.


Johnson Creek Mapaches lost despite out-hitting Maunesha River Rats eight to five.


In the second inning, Maunesha River Rats got their offense started. Lou Martineau drew a walk, scoring one run.


In the top of the eighth inning, Maunesha River Rats tied things up at six. Kyle Huerth drew a walk, scoring one run.


Nick Holland earned the win for Maunesha River Rats. The pitcher allowed six hits and five runs over four innings, striking out two. Aaron Jungers, Brevin Brisack, and Seth Goodrich all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.


Silva took the loss for Johnson Creek Mapaches. Silva lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero hits and six runs while striking out one.
